MARYLAND HEIGHTS, MO – Former President of Kaiser Electric and the American Subcontractors Association – Midwest Council, Steve Giacin has joined Professional Installers, Inc. (PI) as its new President and Chief Operating Officer. PI founder, Aubrey Kimberling, has assumed the position of Chairman of the Board and CEO. Located in Maryland Heights, MO, Professional Installers, was established in 1984 and continues to be the premier contract office furniture installer in the Midwest.
Steve brings 35+ years of construction, construction management, operations and executive level experience to the Professional Installers, Inc. team. Steve will be responsible for corporate strategy, growth, cost containment and business development. “As part of our overall growth and diversification strategy, we are very excited to have someone with Steve’s experience and qualifications in the construction industry joining our team and look forward to opening up new vertical and geographic market channels for PI”, added Aubrey Kimberling.
Before joining PI, Giacin most recently was the Vice President, Division General Manager for a national electrical contracting firm overseeing its Colorado operation which included $35 million of P/L responsibility. Prior to that he was President of St. Louis based Kaiser Electric from 2008-2014. He has also served as the President of the American Subcontractors Association – Midwest Council, has been a Leadership Chair and Board Member of ASA National, served on the Boards of NECA St. Louis Chapter, St. Louis Amateur Blues and Affton Hockey, and was Hockey Coach at MICDS in 2011-2012. Having grown up in his father’s masonry and snow removal businesses, Steve became an IBEW electrical apprentice in 1985, worked in the field as an electrician from 1989-1993 before taking his first management position. Steve has his Bachelor of Science degree from Webster University. Steve’s wife Cathy is Executive Director of the Bi-State Fabricators Association.
